Chairman

In the past, chairman was used to refer to both men and women, but it is now not often used to refer to women.
Why it matters
Considerations for gendered stereotypes which challenge the default position of a gender identity e.g. Women as carers and men as in professional or dominant roles. Some nouns that once ended in -man now have neutral equivalents that are used to include both genders (police officer for policeman/policewoman, spokesperson for spokesman, chair/chairperson for chairman).
Instead try saying:
Chair/ Chairperson
President/ Presider
Speaker
Moderator
