Bull by the horns
This simile describes confronting a difficulty head on rather than to avoid it. E.g. "You need to take the bull by the horns."
Why it matters
This language may not be inclusive of vegan colleagues as it references exploitation of non-human animals for entertainment. Veganism is recognised as a philosophical belief and is protected by the Equality Act 2010.
