Part-time / Reduced Hours (colleague)

Used to describe colleagues who work less than the organisations definition of 'full time' hours e.g. 35 hours a week
Why it matters
May infer that those who do less than 35 hours a week at an organisation produce reduced work effort. May also generate bias in hiring and line managers when assessing colleagues. Men are also less likely to reduce their hours from 35, than women, due to how it may impact their reputation. With flexible ways of working coming in many guises to suit a variety of personal situation, these alternative terms can cover them all without inferring colleagues are doing less.
Instead try saying:
Flexible working pattern
Bespoke working hours
Agile working
