Why it matters
Whilst there has been criticism that the word 'brainstorming' may be offensive to people with epilepsy, in 2020, the UK's largest epilepsy charity, Epilepsy Society, wrote that "a small survey among people with the condition [determined] the term is not offensive when used in its correct context, defining a session amassing spontaneous ideas as potential solutions to a problem."
